This year’s Equip Conference will be a one-day event, and our pastor, Jon Szeto, will be leading us in studying God’s Word to see how God has designed the church to do ministry and what your calling is in ministry. We will also be discussing the unique challenges and opportunities that our church faces as a tri-lingual church.
Instead of hosting a conference open to other churches, we will be focusing exclusively on ministry here at Laguna
this year.
How should we think about ministry? What ministry opportunities exist at Laguna? How can we support them and get involved? How do these ministries fit into the bigger picture of our church?
We will be giving away books that we hope will encourage and equip you, and there will be an opportunity to talk with various ministry leaders to see how you can get involved in the work of ministry at LCBC. We will be ending the day with lunch together.
The event is free, with lunch and books included (both in English and Chinese). Please register so we may know how many people are coming.

Is there a cost for attending? What does it cover?
Usually there is a cost to attend EQUIP, but this year there will be no cost.
Why do I need to register if there is no cost?
When you RSVP, you are helping us know how much food to order for lunch, as well as how many books and what language you prefer for the books you will be receiving.
Is there childcare?
On-site childcare is available for kids 3rd grade and under. We will be providing snacks for childcare, but we ask parents to bring snacks for their children if they have any allergy concerns.
Will there be a live-stream to watch online?
We do not plan to live-stream the conference. We encourage everyone to come out in-person for the full-experience.
Will this only be in English?
The sessions will be in English, but we do offer a live translation to text into Mandarin or Cantonese through a phone app.
Can I invite other people who do not attend LCBC?
Usually we make EQUIP open to other churches, but we are not doing that this year. We want to focus on how we are doing as a church when it comes to our ministries.
Where should I go when I arrive?
Upon arrival, check-in at the registration table in the MPR (the gray and white building) to get your name tag and books. Childcare will be located in the ETC (the red building).
